The Rainbow In A Heart

Sharmin Ahmad, who had written a chapter, in the book “The Rising Phoenix: Weaving Peace,”  participated at the author’s round table discussion of the aforementioned conference in Egypt.

The Rainbow in a Heart 
a story of universal motherhood, girl empowerment and envisioning ways to co-create a compassionate world was first published as a bilingual  Bangla-English book in 2003. This book​ was approved for The Montgomery County Public Schools of Maryland, ranked among the nation’s top public schools, for it’s school system’s English Language Arts curriculum up to the middle school level. The  bilingual, colored  book was placed in the highly recommended category. In comparing the relative worth of the book to other similar materials, the media specialist described it as “very unique” and as a “good asset” to an   elementary and middle school collection. This book has been translated in to Spanish  El Arco Iris En Un Corazon (April, 2016) and will  be published as a bilingual Spanish- English edition for the parents, children and educators.
